The ground we work on shapes every job. Most of the metro sits on Piedmont soils like the Cecil series: a shallow layer of brown sandy loam on top of red, kaolinite-rich clay that is strongly acidic and slow to recover once it has been packed down by equipment. Atlanta gets about 50 inches of rain a year, spread across every month, and the city sits high on a ridge where runoff picks up speed. Add one of the densest urban tree canopies in the country and you have a place where seed choice, soil prep and erosion control decide whether a new lawn takes or washes into the street.

• Nobody gets a price from us sight unseen: we come out, run a tape or wheel over the area, and work from real square footage
• We look at sun and shade through the day, because that decides fescue versus bermudagrass
• Compacted clay gets loosened and, where the topsoil is gone, new topsoil goes on before seed
• We tell you plainly if your timing is wrong for the grass you want, and when the right window opens
• Slopes and swales get mulch rates, tackifier or blankets sized to the grade, not a lawn mix
• On permitted sites we follow the erosion and sediment plan your engineer or builder already has
• Before the truck pulls away, we hand you a written sheet covering how to water and when to mow the first time

The total on the quote you sign covers the work it lists, and that is the amount you are billed. If we find something on site that changes the job, such as buried debris or a slope steeper than it looked, we talk with you before doing extra work.
